I got these pins at a Bolivian mask exhibition and instantly fell in love with them. They are a representation of masks from the “Diablada,” a traditional Bolivian dance that is kind of long to explain, but we can say that it tells the story of the struggle between good and evil. The three characters are the devil (center), the female devil (right), and the bear (left). I adore them not just for their artistry, but because they bring a piece of Bolivian folklore and culture with me wherever I go. Seeing them always makes me smile and reminds me of home.
